I have set a reminder for an item. Why doesn't the reminder show up?
Item reminder will be displayed only when the file is opened. You can still switch to other applications or turn off the device.
How do I delete unwanted TreNotes files?
You can delete the unwanted file in TreNotes file list screen when it is closed.
Why doesn't TreNotes have Exit command?
According to Microsoft, exit command is no longer required because the system will close applications automatically when memory is low. However, you can close TreNotes using the keyboard input panel by typing Ctrl+q. For easier ways, try DTSysView Pro.
How do I display the help file?
From the application main screen, tap Start Menu->Help.
Can I sort items by order of entry (no sorting)?
Yes, no sorting is the default setting when a new TreNotes file is created. To arrange items manually, tap and hold on the parent item to display the context menu, select Order Children By and the [Manual Order] option.
How do I copy/move items between TreNotes files?
You can export the desired item(s) from the source file to a temporary TreNotes file. Then import the temporary file into the destination file.
Is there a limit on how many items in a file?
There is no set limit. However, it is limited by the amount of program memory and storage space. Also, large file will require more time to load.
How do I synchronize data between TreNotes and desktop TreNotes?
Please follow the steps in the tutorial.
I want to create a parent-child relationship. Why is the Level dropdown box grayed when adding an item?
It happens when the root item or a special category folder is selected, select an item and tap New to create a parent-child relationship.
How do I save and close a TreNotes file?
Tap Ok to save and close the current file, TreNotes will return to the file list screen.
How come TreNotes is not properly synchronized between my device and desktop?
If you are editing the file on desktop, please make sure the same file is not opened on device and vice versa.
Why do I lose my drawings when I edit the note in Word Mobile (Windows Mobile 5.0)?
Word Mobile no longer supports drawings. Please do not use Word Mobile to edit note with drawings.
