An error message "Cannot open database..." is displayed at startup of Desktop TimeBiller, what is wrong?
Desktop TimeBiller is not installed properly. Please send the following files to support for help. These files are located in the directory where you installed Desktop TimeBiller:
- C:\Program Files\DesktopTimeBiller\SqlCe.log
- C:\Program Files\DesktopTimeBiller\VcRedist.log
- C:\Program Files\DesktopTimeBiller\DatabaseUpdate.log
- C:\Program Files\DesktopTimeBiller\tbSyncData.log
Why are some entries' duration values different from version 3.1 after the upgrade to version 3.5?
In version 3.5, duration and break time values are stored in whole minute form instead of decimal hour. Thus these values are rounded using banker's rounding during data migration.
How to upgrade from an older version of Desktop TimeBiller to the latest?
To find out the version you are using, select Help->About to view the version number.
For version 2.6 or 2.7:
- Upgrade to version 2.8.
- Upgrade to version 3.1.
- Upgrade to version 3.51.
- Upgrade to version 3.7
For version 2.8 or 3.0:
- Upgrade to version 3.1.
- Upgrade to version 3.51.
- Upgrade to version 3.7
Can I load archive files created by TimeBiller/Desktop TimeBiller 3.1 or earlier?
Archive file format has been changed in version 3.5. To load archive files created by previous versions, please use TimeBiller Archive Converter to convert these files into version 3.5 format.
